Hartford Infinity HSA – EA – EAY Series

HARTFORD’s current production includes a wide range of gantry machining centres with moving table and fixed crosshead.

The INFINITY HSA Series is the result of Hartford’s experience of more than 1800 gantry machining centres built over the last 15 years and certified by Boeing Aircraft U.S.A. It is a product range designed for large parts and difficult to machine materials.

The complete range is manufactured in 28 models (from 2 to 8 m longitudinal travel) in various versions, to cover the different application needs and customised each time according to the customer’s requirements.

The monolithic bed is made of stabilised Meehanite cast iron, with a lattice structure to dissipate heat and dampen vibrations, and is fitted with generously dimensioned linear guides that have high rigidity, low sliding friction and silent operation.

The large dimensions of the guideways on the bed ensure uniform weight distribution, complete immobility of the workpiece, smooth movements resulting in longer machine life, superior cutting capabilities and outstanding machining accuracy.

The monolithic structure of the spindle head, made of special cast iron, is also unique, with ribs and “gaps” between the various elements, is also special, with 4 sliding guides for the Z axis to increase the rigidity of the system.

The axis motors are connected to the screw via a planetary gearbox, to increase the thrust and acceleration of the axis.
